Goldfinger by Catherine Mills
Some say that butterflies represent the ability to look at life in a carefree, lighthearted way. Catherine Mills' specimens are an evolution, working in oils she paints by building up many layers to create texture and often allows the background to become part of the subject, sometimes blurring the edges. With it's rich gold leaf background wouldn't this look fabulous in a spot where the late afternoon sun might find it.
