Wet Felting - Infinity Scarf - NEW DATE - Friday, April 5, 10 am to 4 pm
Make a beautiful and distinctive scarf in just one day! This project covers wet-felting basics including the proper way to lay out merino wool fibres to create beautiful consistent felt. Participants will learn how to felt around a plastic resist to create a seamless infinity style scarf. We will explore surface design techniques by mixing different colours of fibre and adding silk hankies and threads to our surface to give variation and depth to our individual pieces. Finally we cover how to cut holes into our felt to create a stand out distinctive design.
Course Fee: $120 (plus $20.00 materials fee, includes fine merino wool batts to complete project, silk hankies, and silk thread) Note: Bring two old towels to class.
