Portraiture - Wednesdays, 9:30 am - 12 noon, February 24 - March 17- PETERBOROUGH
Using drawing media, come explore and study light, shadow, shapes, value, edges, anatomical structure, mark-making as it relates to portrait drawing. Each week you'll improve your ability to see accurately and draw distinctive features to better achieve a likeness. In weeks 3 & 4 you'll draw from a live model (suitably distanced). Demo provided and hand-outs.

Duration: 4 weeks, Thursday mornings, 9:30 am to 12 noon
Location: 164 Hunter Street West, Peterborough
Course fee: $195 plus hst (includes modeling fee)
Materials - 18 x 24” newsprint pad, clips (for drawing board), charcoal sticks (either vine, willow or compressed) and/or conté pencils and/or sticks (black or sanguine), kneaded eraser. Higher grade paper can be used during weeks three and four.

Due to Covid-19 protocols, class size is strictly limited to allow for physical distancing. Wearing a cloth or paper mask is mandatory. Bring your own snack/drink as these are not provided. META4's washrooms are available to students but not the general public. More details regarding maintaining a healthy environment will be emailed as part of your confirmation.
Updated Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received more than 3 days before the first class are eligible for a credit or refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. There is no refund or credit for cancellations less than 3 days prior to the start of class. A registration may be transferred to another person at no charge.
