Portraiture - Thursdays, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, May 7 to May 28th - PETERBOROUGH
Using drawing media, we will explore and study light, shadow, shapes, value, edges, anatomical structure, mark-making as it relates to portrait drawing. We will work to improve our ability to see accurately and draw distinctive features to better achieve a likeness. We will study features and anatomy in depth for the first two weeks, as we draw each other. We will draw from a live model for weeks three and four.

Duration: 4 weeks, Thursday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:30 pm
Location: 164 Hunter Street West, Peterborough
Course fee: $175 plus hst (includes modeling fee)
Materials - 18 x 24” newsprint pad, clips (for drawing board), charcoal pencils and/or sticks (either vine, willow or compressed) and/or conté pencils and/or sticks (black or sanguine), kneaded eraser. Higher grade paper can be used during weeks three and four.
Important Registration Information:
All registration fees are subject to HST. A registration is secured when the fee is paid. There is no refund or reduction in the fee for missed classes. If you find it necessary to cancel, we are happy to provide a store credit for the value of your registration, less a $25 cancellation fee. Due to our commitment to our instructors and fellow students, there is no refund/credit for cancellations within one week of course start date.
