Mixed Media - Birds & Blooms - Saturday, June 10, 10 am to 4 pm
In this fun and interactive workshop you will create a mixed media floral or bird painting (or both). We will make our own hand-printed collage papers in the morning, exploring various monoprint and mark-making possibilities as we develop our composition and colour palette for our final piece. In the afternoon we will work on a cradled board using acrylic paints and the collage papers you made, along with any other collage material you would like to incorporate (such as maps, decorative papers, letters, magazine images, previous drawings, tissue papers, photographs, etc).
*Developing your own artistic voice will be encouraged and there is flexibility in the subject matter you choose beyond birds and flowers*
Note: Not suitable for beginners. Some painting experience is required.
