Botanical Casting - Thursday, August 20; 1 pm to 5 pm
Discover the art of botanical casting in this hands‑on workshop with artist Rebecca Fortin. Using fresh plant material, clay, and plaster, you’ll learn how to create detailed relief impressions that highlight the natural forms and textures of your favourite botanicals.
Rebecca will guide you through each step — pressing botanicals into clay, preparing your mold, and pouring plaster to create a finished cast. You’ll leave the workshop with either two unpainted 4‑inch round casts or one unpainted 6‑inch round cast. Your artwork can be painted later or left in its beautiful natural plaster finish.
No experience required.

For interested participants, an optional plant‑based pigment making workshop to paint your botanical cast will be offered on September 10 (details and pricing will be discussed during the workshop).
Course fee: $95 (+ $50 materials fee payable to the instructor) An additional materials list will be sent prior to class.

Updated Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received more than 3 days before the first class are eligible for a credit or refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. There is no refund or credit for cancellations less than 3 days prior to the start of class. There is no credit or refund once a session has begun.
