NEW DATE ADDED! Soft Block Printing on Textiles - Saturday, October 21, 9 am to 12 noon
This workshop in July was so much fun we're bringing Jeff back to the studio! In this introductory workshop you'll learn about carving and printing from soft block - a very accessible relief printing technique. The workshop begins with an overview of relief printing as a whole, then you'll tackle drawing and carving blocks, You'll print your unique and fabulous design on fabric. It’s an exercise in positive and negative space. You will learn to use lino-cut tools, ink and brayers - both on paper and fabric.
Note: students will provide the textile/fabric of their choice for this workshop, e.g. t-shirt, tea towel, pillow cover. Some fabrics work better than others so guidelines will be provided.

Course Fee: $65 (+ a $12 materials fee payable to the instructor)
