Annette is a self-taught, multi-media artist who works primarily with paper mache.
Initially drawn to simplicity of form and capturing quiet expressions of the female face, she has shifted to incorporate objects from nature as a means of reflecting her strong feelings for, and connection to, the natural world. This piece depicts beauty in multiple ways, the beauty of nature as well as feminine beauty. The subtle hints of pink throughout the piece are placed strategically to guide the viewers eyes across the entire piece.
