Susan Rankin's Shard vessels are hot-blown glass and made in her studio with a painterly approach to surface design that is accomplished by layering colours glass to a solid bubble of hot glass. Once the design and colour she desires are accomplished, she shapes the vessel to accentuate the subtle details within the glass. This pieces are truly stunning and would make a beautiful centrepiece in any home. When illuminated the vibrant colours begin to radiate a luminous glow making the piece truly mesmerizing.
