Beginner Encaustic - NEW DATE ADDED! Choose your session
Encaustic is one of the oldest forms of painting, and dates back to ancient times in Greece. This form of painting involves using a combination of beeswax and tree resin to create paints which are viscous and fluid when warm, and hardened when cooled. Explore colour and application in this one-day encaustic workshop. You'll learn basic encaustic methods plus how to make use of additional tools and techniques for creating textures. In this workshop you'll create a rural landscape with a barn, with options to make your piece uniquely yours. Some painting experience is preferred.
