Captivated by the tactile nature of beeswax, Linda exploits its wonderful properties through fusing, scraping, scratching and collaging; often combining wax with watercolour on rice paper, photography, inks and oil pigments. Inspired by both her travels afar and her own backyard, Linda’s paintings reflect her connection with the world beyond her doorstep. Exploring and creating is what motivates her to produce colourful and varied encaustic work.
Linda has used many different textures & shapes to create one whole painting. The use of geometric shapes breaking up the natural elements really creates a very interesting encaustic painting.
