Intro to Portrait Drawing - Thursday, July 18 & Thursday July 25, 10 am - 2:30 pm- PETERBOROUGH
Have you ever wanted to capture a likeness on paper with graphite or other media? This workshop is the perfect opportunity for students of all levels to learn skills involved in portrait drawing and capturing life in a work of art. You'll learn the structure and proportion of facial features, technical aspects of various drawing materials and tools, the medium of graphite and strategies for capturing likeness, expression and personality.

Duration: two half-days, 10 am to 2:30 pm (there will be a 30 minute break. NB. lunch is not provided)
Course Fee: $125(bring your own supplies)
What to bring:
a variety of graphite pencils (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 8B or whatever you currently have)
white vinyl eraser
2 rubbing stomps (medium size)
Optional: your choice of higher quality drawing surface such as high quality paper or illustration board, minimal texture or tooth, minimum size 8 x 10 inches
Important Registration Information:
All registration fees are subject to HST. A registration is secured when the fee is paid. There is no refund or reduction in the fee for missed classes. If you find it necessary to cancel, we are happy to provide a store credit for the value of your registration, less a $25 cancellation fee. Due to our commitment to our instructors and fellow students, there is no refund/credit for cancellations within one week of course start date.
